The £35 million funding model for the Centre reflects the scale and ambition of what we are seeking to create: a world-class environment for research, teaching, enterprise and industry collaboration.
Each part of the funding mix will support a critical element of the Centre’s purpose, from advanced malting, brewing, distilling and R&D facilities to specialist equipment, shared teaching space, enterprise and commercialisation areas, external plant infrastructure and an archive celebrating Heriot-Watt’s unique heritage in brewing and distilling. By supporting this vision, donors and partners can help create the specialist environment the sector needs to test ideas, develop talent, strengthen productivity and make confident decisions for the future.
